The Magic Hands

This is one of those easy card tricks that is really lovely because the spectator finds your chosen card and they really have no idea of how they have just done so.

Having the spectator do the magic in their hands is always a good thing to strive for when performing. It keeps them interested and it helps smooth out that never ending problem magicians always face: People really don't like to be fooled. When they are involved and instrumental in finding their card the 'sting' is taken out of the trick.

Never try to make yourself look too clever or superior when presenting your magic, especially when you are doing easy card tricks. That is a real turnoff for most people and a sure way to get a poor response. The easiest way to avoid that is to add some subtle comedy to your magic and like in this trick, let the spectators be a postive part of the magic.

You choose a card and say you will find it using your Magic Hands. You fail. Somehow your magic powers have gone so you respectfully ask to look at the volunteer's hands. Straight away you recognise that THEY have magic hands. They repeat your moves and voila! they have found your card.
