Another Book by Karrell Fox

Karrell Fox is one of my all time favourite magicians. Little video in the public domain exists of him performing and what is there doesn't do him justice. He was a very funny man known for his corny humour - often referred to as Karrell's Korn - and he was a superb magician with an amazing ability to create DIRECT magic. By that I mean he was able to achieve an effect in a very straightforward manner whereas others would create a similar effect and take the long way of achieving the same result.

Luckily for us he produced a whole heap of books that are bursting at the seams with ideas and very commercial magic. This is the stuff that you can put straight into your act and make money from it. This is the sort of magic I love because it has been road tested. If it works and entertains an audience then you keep it and perfect it, if it doesn't entertain then you let it go and you move on. I guarantee to you that these books live up to what I have just written.

Bits and Pieces

Every chapter is bursting with useable material. Some of my favourites are "A Chanin-ized Silk Vanish. This is a very clever, easy way to vanish - in your hands - a large 18 inch silk handkerchief. I am just waiting to find a use for this. Not only will it impress your audience it will fool many magician friends.

Baffling Blow Outs is a very silly but very commercial piece of fun that you could do at any family show, especially if you had a large stage show to do for hundreds of people. It uses the cheap party tooters that kids blow birthday parties and some plastic tubing. You have to set yourself up for each performance but it'd be worth it. For the few dollars in total cost I'm going to do it. This is classic Karrell Fox.

My very favourite of the book is a mentalism routine that is very visual. I have made this up my self but haven't used it yet. What is it? I'm not going to tell you. See if you can guess. If you use it you will have a unique walk around piece of very funny magic that people will remember.

I would suggest you buy any Karrell Fox book. They are all old; they look old, they smell old and they read old but you will keep going 'wow!'
