Kids Birthday Cakes
Kids don't remember the cake but they never forget the Magic Show
Put a huge smile on your child's face and Book Julian and his Big Red Box of Magic.
These are unusual ideas I seen at homes I've entertained in.
Cake Cones
Less messy than an ice-cream cake, more fun than a cupcake, cake cones are as much fun to make (not really) as they are to eat.
Make vanilla or chocolate batter according to package directions or from scratch according to your favorite recipe.
Spoon the batter into 12 wafer ice-cream cones.
Bake on a baking tray or muffin tin at 350 for 8 to 10 minutes. (Use a cake tester to assure doneness.)
Let cool for 20 minutes.
Spread store-bought or homemade frosting evenly over the cakes.
Need a birthday activity? Have the children decorate their own cakes using a variety of sprinkles, candy decorations, or piped icing.
