Hi again. Magic Mind Reading Tricks you THOUGHT you heard me say. Let me tell you why I like mind reading tricks. They give me a chance to have a lot of fun. I love the whole idea of mind reading helmets and thought transporters.

And I love all the silly sounding words you can use in your mind reading tricks like King of the Cranium and Sultan of the Supernatural.

Only a few magicians ever claim to be able to really read minds. 99% like to never really say either way. That way it leaves it up to the audience to try and decide which makes it all a bit more mystical. If someone asks me, I just say, "I don't know what to call what I do, all I know is I can do some pretty cool things. Wanna see?"

There is a line of thought within the magic community that mind reading, or mentalism as magicians call it, is the path to follow if you want to make good money, especially in the corporate market.

Some magician's entire acts are made up these type of effects. One name to chase up is Banachek. He has put out some very good DVD's teaching his routines in fine detail.

Myself, I don't have the personality to be able to get on stage and keep a straight face while I tell people that I'm going to try and read their minds.

Always learn at least one good mentalism effect because audiences really do like them and they help give more variety and texture to your shows.

Like all the tricks in Julian's Magician School, you can do these with things you find lying around the house.
