My name is Julian and his Big RED Box of Magic and I've been performing magic for over 15 years. Not having a magic shop in Brisbane hasn't stopped me from making a living. So where do you go for your magic tricks, books and DVD's if you live in SE Queensland?

The closest bricks and mortar magic store is the The Magic Vault. It is located at Nerang on the Gold Coast. The phone number is 07 5502 0008. They have a good range for beginners.

Taylor's Magic Shop is in Sydney but they have a good postage system. Sean Taylor who runs the shop does a lot to help the magic community in Australia thrive and grow. Buying from Taylor's means you help keep magic alive in Australia.

The internet is full of online magic stores, may of them in the USA. My suggestion is you try and get what you want from Australian magic stores first but if you can't then my recommendation is Hank Lee's Magic Factory. I've had very good service from them, postage normally takes 5 -7 days, they have a big range and their online payment seems secure enough.

Another way to get magic tricks in Brisbane is to subscribe to my blog and I'll let you know when there are magic lectures coming to town. (just to the left in the blue box, see it) Visiting magicians from around the world lecture on their new tricks and have them for sale. If you haven't met anyone in the magic scene, come along to a lecture, ask for me, and I'll introduce you around and make you feel welcome. The cost is usually $25 to enter.
